We believe that we are privileged to live in this country, this city: to have for our use public, free ice on which to enjoy the game we love. In recognition of this privilege we wish to give back to the communities that foster and support our game.

The Women of Winter donates goods and money to other groups, local rinks, and programmes that are in alignment with our philosophy of community development through fun and fair play.

If you wish to contribute here are
a few simple ways:

1. Send us your Canadian Tire money.
2. Donate new and used skates. Contact us to find out how.
3. Sponsor our tournament. A portion of proceeds from the tournament goes to programmes that are community, hockey related, and focus on groups whose needs are under funded, i.e. differently-abled, inner city kids, etc.. Or contact us to find out how to directly sponsor one of these groups.

T.W.O.W. tournament organisers work hard to ensure participation is open to all women. Tournament sponsorship is an important way for The W.O.W. to keep costs to a minimum.

Local businesses are invited to join The W.O.W. team by contributing goods, services or even a cash donation. Anyone interested in sponsoring The W.O.W. is encouraged to contact the tournament organisers.
