The 3rd annual The Women of Winter Outdoor Shinny Tournament was held on Friday Feb. 8 and Sat. Feb. 9 at Dufferin-Grove.
How lucky we were to have had our tournament under the sky. And yes, that meant shoveling snow and skating in the rain. We had perfect ice and ice hardly better than what's on the sidewalk. Anything can happen at the TWOW and boy did it!
We saw teams dominate in one game and battle it out in the next, players loft the puck only to have the pass ground to a halt by snow on the ice, and oh those pond hockey nets - gotta love to hate them. Everyone of you came to play and whatever the score, the shifts, or the line-ups, the outcome was always up for grabs.
